FAQ

Common Questions

Do I need any qualifications to enrol?
No. There are no entry requirements or prerequisites. Anyone interested in a career in mortgage broking can enrol in the Certificate IV.
How long does the Certificate IV take to complete?
Typically up to six months, but many students complete it faster with dedicated study. The pace is flexible — study full-time, part-time, or in evening classes.
Can I study entirely online?
Yes. We offer fully online courses, distance learning with study manuals, and face-to-face workshops in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. Choose what works for you.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. Payment plans are available for both Certificate IV and Diploma programs. You may also be eligible for government funding options including Centrelink assistance, state-subsidised training, and VET student loans.
Will I get help finding work after I qualify?
Absolutely. We introduce graduates to broking groups, aggregators, and businesses actively seeking qualified brokers. We also offer ongoing mentoring support after you complete your training.
What's the difference between Certificate IV and the Diploma?
The Certificate IV is the essential qualification to become a mortgage broker. The Diploma builds on this with advanced management skills and is required within your first year of MFAA membership.
